Reviews for Undertow

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Jazzy has done it again! She has written a timely, thought-provoking, heart-gripping book. One that leaps off the front page of our national newspapers. In these challenging times, this book shows us there is light at the end of the tunnel and its not a speeding train. Thanks for the ride, Ms. Mitchell. Well Done. ~Peet, an Amazon reader

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Jazzy Mitchell's Undertow, just released by Desert Palm Press, is an inspiring story of personal growth and hope. Her main character, Maggie, grows from a person who drifts with the flow to one in charge of her own destiny. The reader finds hope that there are still leaders with integrity and a drive to serve, and that we the people are still willing to elect them.

Hope is hard to come by today as we mourn Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's passing and contemplate the upcoming election. Thanks, Jazzy, for an affecting and uplifting story. ~Jane Alden, award-winning author of Jobyna's Blues and Across a Crowded Room

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Madam President if You Please….
Usually political books aren’t my thing but I adore how Ms Mitchell writes so I knew I would read this too. I was really impressed by this book. That being said, of course it was well written, how could it not be? It kept and held my attention and while I had to pause for real life while reading, the story was never far from my mind. I loved seeing Maggie’s journey from her rough and neglected childhood, into her teen and college years where she struggled to find herself, often with just as much pain as her childhood held. Then we were shown her beginnings with her wife Helen all as her looking back while writing her memoire. In the current time she is a busy Senator who is running for president. We get to see the inner workings, her interactions with staff, friends and other politicians, all of it with the support and love of her wife. It was such a good story!! While this is not a romance, I did enjoy the strong physical relationship she and Helen share. Not just because I like the sexy bits but it added so much for me. I loved how even though they are older women (well, not to me lol) and insanely busy, they still desired each other and made time for that part of their relationship. It warmed my heart! There isn’t anything I didn’t like in this wonderful book and it is one of those books I wish would come true! SO well done!! ~Goodreads review

Reviews for You Matter

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The impetus for the story line was different but what I thought was beautiful about the story was the ability to connect to the characters. I really related well with Chrissy- not necessarily her life experience but her overall sense of being. I've struggled with not really making an impression on anyone for my entire life so reading a character who conveyed that image and emotions was...affirming? Not really sure how to describe my connection to her but I continued to think about Chrissy and the overall story for awhile after finishing. This was my first experience with Jazzy Mitchell's work and though the narration tense was different and took me a bit to adjust to, I appreciated her story telling skills. ~Amazon reader

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When a pro bono case goes awry and Chrissy gets an offer too good to refuse, her life changed drastically. However, uncertainty and a low self-esteem, stand in the way of romance. I loved the flow of the story, the bit of drama and the passion they shared. A beautiful love story with great characters.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Just when you’ve settled into calmly turning pages and thinking you know what’s coming, WHAM! Jazzy Mitchell hits you with another killer scene just like the rockstar opening. Now if that’s not enough to keep you reading hungrily, take a look at her two dynamite ladies and the darling son. And, of course, you need some villains, and how more evil can you get than an ex and parents who almost slide him/her (not giving anything away…) between your sheets. Great romance; great suspense. ~Dolores Maggiore, author Death and Love at the Old Summer Camp, Love and Lechery at Albert Academy, and Paris for Two.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That. Was. Awesome. Equal portions sci-fi and rom. Really good scene pacing and sans all the tropes I can't stand. You'd think having 6 MC's (I kinda count Rudi although some might argue she's a secondary) would get confusing, but the author really pulled it off. I don't want to give anything away, anyone can read a blurb, but this one is definitely worth your while if you like a sprinkle of sci-fi (without it being overwhelming) in your roms. Loved it. I *really* hope there is a follow up to this. The ground work is there world building wise to expand. Hope that happens. ~Goodreads review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Once I picked this book up, I couldn't stop reading it! I lost track of all time and was consumed with reading on to find out how situations would be resolved. The characters are well-developed, intriguing, and personable. I began to relate to them as people that I actually knew and became vested in their lives. Jazzy Mitchell does a magnificent job of weaving the characters together through their shared experience of encountering a meteorite. The story itself is unique, multilayered, and just plain fascinating. Although I have never ventured into this genre of writing before, I am hooked and cannot wait to get my hands on Jazzy Mitchell's next novel. ~Amazon reader

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am not an avid reader of romance or of spec fiction, but I was immediately drawn into this book by the depiction of characters. The story intermingles the lives of three women, and mixes in a close encounter with a meteorite. It's fun to see what happens when a fangirl actually interacts with her idol. Fallout of more than one kind affects these women. Jazzy Mitchell writes well and has a great imagination. We readers are lucky recipients of her gifts. ~Sandra de Helen, author of Lesbian Humor is No an Oxymoron, Desire Returns for a Visit, and the Shirley Combs and Dr. Mary Watson series.

Reviews for Lost Treasures

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: Lost Treasures by Jazzy Mitchell. This is a very good debut book. I have found the story very entertaining and new. I enjoyed the peculiar setting so much that I was very glad about the care that the author have put in describe every minute detail and the characters were all well developed and likable if not 100% believable. Good start! ~Goodreads review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've read this author's stories online for years and she's never disappointed me. This novel has all of the charm, warmth and keen intelligence I've come to expect from her. I've been thinking about what I could say about how this romance develops without spoiling it. Here goes: finding oneself completely captivated by another person's aesthetic sensibility without ever having met is a novel and very Romantic (yes, Romantic with a capital R) approach and one I truly enjoyed. Read it and you'll see what I mean. ~Amazon reader

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Oh My Gosh! This book is SOOO GOOD!!! A year after her mother dies Torry heads to New York to make her name in the fashion/artistic world, following in the footsteps of her grandmother and like her mother would have if not for her father. However, she is determined to make it on her own so she refuses any help. Evelyn is a friend of her grandmother and runs a huge fashion magazine. When Evelyn discovers the unknown artist she sees in her something wonderful and not just her amazing talent. As with everything I’ve read by Ms Mitchell, this book is incredibly well written. I LOVED these women! They are strong, driven and determined, yet they have soft, sweet sides and are so very loyal. They are caring and passionate, the sex is wonderful and explosive but there is so much more to it than that. The emotions are so strong you can feel them and she will take you on quite the journey. There are so many deep descriptions and vivid imagery involved in this tale. This story will move you and make you so happy! You won’t regret reading this one for sure!!! ~Goodreads review
